Put a hat on it

Hiya Blogland!!! Everyone having a fantastic weekend thus far?? I'm wiped out!! Saturday Gracie and I went for our walk and then Lauren and I power-washed the front porch and front of the house. I'm still recuperating!

This Sunday is The Style Crone's Hat Attack #2. I decided to break out one of my vintage hats. I brought this maybe 15 years ago at a yard sale for $1. I just fell in love with how cute and saucy it it. The netting is shot. It's a sweet navy straw. It would look adorable with a red gingham vintage summer dress. If you look closely you can see the little photobomb over my shoulder.

I stopped by the Goodwill and the Mission Thrift when I went into town on Friday after work.  I found a few goodies to bring home.

A pale grey & charcoal lace print St.John'sBay Tshirt for $2

A black & white thin knit Drapers&Damson sweater for $2

A gorgeous polyester silk made in Japan Kimono for $4.
I plan to shorten this into a jacket length

A nice warm fuzzy bathrobe for $3

I also had a pee my pants moment when I spotted this on the rack at Goodwill:

A teal boiled wool and knit Geiger jacket in pristine condition for $4. I squealed when I saw it. This will be going to someone special.

I dressed casually on Friday-it was miserably hot and humid. I thrifted the floaty top for $3 and the JustMySize jeans with the tags for $4. The shoes are old/retail.

I dressed as easy and as breezy as I could Sunday. I pulled out my faithful Walmart tribal maxi and some bright bling.

I'm off to link up with Hat Attack!! I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend and I'll be back on Tuesday!!

You definitely need a nice retro dress to go with that hat. In fact, it would look good with Melanie's second dress in her latest post.

I'm so jealous about that kimono! I'd love to find one like that!

That hat looks gorgeous on you! I love seeing you in different locations, we're so used to you indoors!
That Geiger cardi is lovely and so's the kimono which would look fantastic as a shorter jacket. That floaty top with your jeans rocks and of course you always look great in a maxi! Love the beads! xxxx

Tamera, I adore your vintage hat trimmed with the sweetest of flowers.. Accessorized by your radiant smile! Thank you for linking up with Hat Attack!

Your goodies are fabulous! I purchased a boiled knit Geiger jacket recently at an estate sale, and was as excited as you were with your $4.00 find.

What a cute hat, Tamera! It would indeed look lovely with a pretty vintage Church Picnic Dress, wouldn't it?
Love your floaty top with the jeans, and that maxi is always a joy. You are having ALL the luck at the thrift shops at the moment, good for you! xxxx

well this heat ever stop? It's still in the 90's down here. I'm getting a little tried of wearing the same stuff I've been wearing since April! Found a beautiful blue mohair sweater today at Goodwill, I may be able to wear it by November!

Hi Tamera!! Great hat and you look adorable in it. Do you plan on refreshing the netting? I like it as is, too. Your thrifting treasures are great, as usual and I love the cool, comfy looks you're wearing. Don't you wish this @#$$%^%$#@$% heat would end?!!!! I know I do.

Thank you sooooo much for the little extras in the special box. It was so sweet and I love knowing you made them. :-) XXOO
