Photoshop Fashion

Tamera rocks suede and fringe and big hair.

Hiya Blogland!!! It's the last Sunday of 2013!! I hope everyone has had a fabulous holiday season full of joy and happiness.

In dollhouse news I've labeled and punched  all the parts out. Next up is sanding. I'm planning on painting the exterior pale pink with slate grey shutters and pale grey roof shingles. Here's what the house will look like finished:
Finished Exteriors
Unfinished Exterior
Unfinished Interior
Since I'm not going anywhere these days and no one wants to see the latest reiteration of my fleece and jogging pants I decided to ply my minimal Photoshop skills and make my own cut and paste fashion show. I can do this with ease in real life with scissors and paste but my computer skillz in this area are pitiful. Something to work on in the new year!!

Rocking the midi and boots.
Hot pants and fake fur. I need those purple shoes!!
Gorgeous maxi's-I feel like Curtise!!
I would totally wear this today. Very 30's looking!!
These styles would look great today!!
Love this gingham maxi!!
I wore an outfit just like this in the 70's.
I'm going to be linking up with all of the glorious ladies at Cruising Patti's last Visible Monday of 2013!!

Everyone a a fantastic end of the year and I'll be back in 2014!!

Some of the random Christmas Critters

Hiya Blogland!! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas if you celebrate!!! I am hanging in here. STILL waiting to start the physical therapy.

Christmas Eve was spent with our dear friends Tom and Andrea and my boys. Lauren made some of his famous chili and it was just a quiet enjoyable evening.

I had fun getting gifts for the boys. It's been a long time since we've had kids opening gifts so I forgot how exciting it it!! You see Miss Gracie was all into the fun!

Gracie with the hamburger toy the boys gave her. She LOVES it!!!
Opening the gifts!
Real men don't need no instructions!!
The "boys" playing with the toys
We had stockings for the cats and dogs. The cats got special Fancy Feast and treats. The dogs got Pupperoni chews, special dog food and Rachel Ray soup Bone treats. MrBill just hung back while Gracie went NUTS over the stocking. she pulled the bags of treats out and ran around with the packages and then ran around with the empty stocking.
Pulling the Pupperoni's out!
Playing with the stocking
Taking off with the Soup Bones
MrBill enjoying a Pupperoni stick.
Christmas day we went to my nephew Josh's house for dinner. He's a fantastic cook. Every year I get him a weird random Christmas ornament. Here's this year's find:
Behold the Christmas Beaver!!!
It's a bit of a drive to his house from mine so I wore something easy and comfortable.Thrifted tunic, thrifted black pants, old boots and old tree pin/earrings. Truthfully speaking the car ride about killed my back. I wound up pretty much horizontal all day yesterday recuperating.

Our darling daughter gave me this awesome lamp for the Craft Palace. It's now on my sewing table.

I gave myself a dollhouse kit for Christmas. I've always wanted to build one and decided 2014 will be the year. I'll be documenting my progress here so y'all can join the fun and/or insanity. I chose a simple Victorian style cottage. I plan to make most of the interior furnishing myself. Because obviously I NEED another obsessive hobby to entertain me!! LOLOLOL I've been spending a lot of my enforced down time researching dollhouse building and miniatures.

And because there can never be too much doggie cuteness-MrBill and Gracie chewing a cookie.

I can't express how much I've enjoyed every one's holiday doings you've been sharing on your blogs. It brings a smile to my face as I've been stuck here at home. I'd seriously lose what little mind I have left without y'all!!

Everyone have a fantastic weekend and I'll be back for Visible Monday!!

O Thou Joyful......

Multimedia collage "Joyful" by Tamera Wolfe
Hiya Blogland!! Merry Christmas from Western Maryland--where it went from snow covered ground to 70 degrees to 30 degrees in the space of a weekend!!

I've been hanging in there back-wise. The new medicine makes me sleep alot. HOPEFULLY all of the paperwork will be done and I can start some kind of physical therapy later this week. I'm tired of being a slug in the recliner-altho the doggies are loving all the lap time.  I am trying to keep up with every one's blogs even if I'm not commenting!!

How AWESOME is this?? The fabulous Curtise made a festive picture of me!! Bet y'all didn't knolw I was rocking such a hot bikini bod did you?? This brought such a smile to my face!!

I got out of the house late last week to go to the doctor's. YAY--an outfit that didn't involve yoga pants and an over-sized fleece. I still had to dress rather plainly so I could remove stuff for the doctor & xrays.
Thrifted SagHarbor sweater, thrifted Lee jeans, Kmart Boots and vintage pins.

Close-up of DIY plaid earrings and vintage plastic pins. What's not to love about a Christmas OWL????
I was able to get to church this past Sunday for the Christmas program. I'm glad I got the costumes sorted before  I injured myself. I'm wearing a thrifted red sweater, thrifted Alfred Dunner plaid skirt, thrifted Nine West ballet flats, vintage Echo candy cane scarf & vintage tree earrings I converted to pierced.

Here's a close-up of the plaid. I usually avoid Alfred Dunner brand as it's kinda "grandmaw" but this skirt is really nice lined wool blend crepe.

close-up of scarf and earrings
Our daughter and son-in-law came up to visit over the weekend with our grand-pup Noelle. She was wearing the same sweater as MrBill and Gracie!!! We tried to get a good picture of all of them together but the only one who would stand still was Bill.

Here are MORE (I know it's never-ending-LOL) pictures of our Christmas decor. First up is our guest room/Lauren's office:
Dresser with vintage Lefton Holly dishes/Bench with vintage thrifted Santas & dish
Tree with vintage plastic (50-60's) ornaments/ More of the vintage Lefton dishes.

Next up is the Master Bedroom decorations-minus the tree.
Dresser with DIY banner
Santas-I made the middle and right one. The other was thrifted.
More Santas & elves. The Santa's are thrifted. The elf on the left was a gift. I made the other two based off of it.
Even more thrifted Santas. I made the white one in the center.
Thrifted church collection/Thrifted Santa's and Feather tree.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. I'm going to leave you with the words of my favorite carol:

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

Till, ringing singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

May 2014 bring us all peace and goodwill to men.

The wasteland of daytime TV.

Hiya Blogland!!! How is everyone on this lovely hump day?? Seems hard to believe Christmas is a week away!!

I got some relatively good news today.  I went back to the doctor yesterday. I'm still in a lot of pain and the muscles keep spasming.  He had a full set of xrays done and thankfully there is no structural damage like a herniated disk or damage to my hip joint. They are arranging for some aggressive physical therapy to help the muscles stop spasming and pinching nerves.  If everything goes well I can go back to work January 2nd.

I am totally BORED. I'm not used to inactivity like this. I've been doing lots of reading (when I'm awake-the meds knock me out) and putzing around the 'net on my Kindle. We have very limited TV channels (no cable stuff) and daytime TV is the last bastion of stupid. Really. I clicked onto the Maury show where he was doing lie detector tests on these losers. One guy had been running around with a set of triplets who found out and started fighting with each other over him. AWESOME. There was nothing appealing about this dude that would attract one female, much less THREE who are fighting over him. Let's pray they don't breed!!!! Quality TV to turn your mind to mush.

Fashion-wise just imagine what I wore Sunday with a different color pullover and you've got my fashion stylings this week. Just imagine me covered in dog hair. They have been enjoying all of the mommy time!

Here's some more of the Christmas decorations. I'm starting to dread taking this all down-LOL!! This is a look at the different wreaths we have hanging around the house.

Kitchen wreath made from vintage cookie cutters and Santa mold.
Door wreath made from vintage candle rings
Wreath made from Lauren's grandmother's vintage corsages. Holly wreath is vintage from my childhood.
The deer came from a friend's shop-The Vintage Attic. I added a wreath from my stash, some vintage ornaments and glittery twigs.
I embroidered this in high school from a kit.
Wreath made from vintage plastic Xmas stuff.
I am starting to wear out sitting up. Off to imbibe in some happy pills, an ice pack, a lap full of doggies and a nap!!!

Too stupid for a smart phone

Buddies in matching Christmas sweaters!!
Hiya Blogland!! Greetings from snowy Western Maryland!!! We are living in a winter wonderland. MrBill is hating life right now-all of this snow confuses him. Gracie LOVES it!!

I've been hanging in there in regards to my slip last week and my back/hip.  I've got another doctor's appointment Tuesday morning. I've been spending loads of quality time in the recliner with my Kindle. I've been reading every one's posts even if I'm not commenting. Commenting from the Kindle is a pain in the butt. I can't sit in the chair too long to use the computer. The happy pills make me sleep alot. Gracie and MrBill have been enjoying lots of Mommy lap time.

In the spirit of keeping it real I've been rocking a variation of this lovely and flattering outfit all week. Knit pants, fleecy pullover, Tshirt, warm socks and slippers. The pants and pullover are from Goodwill though!!
Setting the fashion world ON FIRE!!!

Lauren and I got new phones as our Christmas gifts to each other. We've had Iphone 3's (HATE)the last few years and it was time to upgrade. Lauren decided on Galaxy Note 2's for us. They are really spiffy and so much easier to use than the Iphone. HOWEVER--it took me a bit to figure out how to answer the phone when someone called.  Lauren is a total techno-weenie and loves all the features. I'm spending my time just figuring it out.

I tried to do a Xmas photoshoot with Gracie and MrBill in their matching sweaters. Gracie is just too curious and busy and wouldn't sit still. I finally got pictures of them napping!!

The Diva LOVED to have her picture taken. The problem with her was her hogging the camera--she'd jump in front of poor Bill. It WAS all about her.

Christmas 2012 - RIP The Diva
Now that I've dazzled you with my styling togs--heres' some more Christmas deco pictures:
Close-ups of living room tree with vintage glass ornaments
The Santa tree in the dining room.
Santa's on dining room hutch. Some DIY and some thrifted.
Hanging Santa's I made.
Dining room decorations. The feather tree was thrifted at  a yardsale for $1 including the vintage ornaments!!
Candy/baking themed display in kitchen. Everything is thrifted.

The "Diva" tree. Amazing that this was in someones TRASH!!

The tree skirt was DIY from a vintage tablecloth. The ornaments are either DIY or vintage.
Close-up of vintage-look batting Santas I made. I want to do more for next year. These are based off a Victorian era Santa ornament
Newest Diva ornament I got at Hobby Lobby. Looks just like her!!

Although I've been a bit invisible this week style-wise I'm linking up with all of the far more fabulous ladies for Visible Monday #119 and Share-in-Style: Christmas. I'm standing next to a Christmas tree so that should count!! Plus Gracie and MrBill are sharing their Christmas sweaters!!

Everyone have a fantastic start to your week !! I'll be back later in the week even if it's to share another stunning pullover and pants and slippers ensemble!!
